1866 stampless cover to England cancelled on the front with the 1 in 3 concentric circles and also a Copenhagen cds plus a manuscript 6 rate mark in black. The reverse is struck with the datestamp of the Danish P.O. in LUBECK and has the London arrival cds. An unusual routing. £50

 

E.L. used by the Copenhagen Foot Post, franked with 2sk. adhesive cancelled with numeral 1 and tied by the dated F.P. datestamp in blue. Very fine. £45

 

1889 unfranked cover from Rudkjobing taxed 16 ore & addressed in error to Australia backstamped in transit at Naples to catch the Orient line steamer. In Australia the cover was struck with the oval framed ³/- MORE TO PAY handstamp and forwarded to Canada. It was taxed 10c & struck NOT CALLED FOR and sent to the Canadian Dead Letter Office. Very unusual routing. £145

1862 cover addressed to Philadelphia struck on the front with the single ring NEW YORK SHIP LETTER 5 cds. The reverse shows a fine strike of the large oval ST. THOMAS / EXPRESS / OFFICE handstamp with manuscript date 24/12/62 alongside. Very scarce. £270
